Privacy Policy for Pretty Strong

Battise respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Pretty Strong handles information. In plain terms: Pretty Strong stores training data on your device and offers optional Sign in with Apple with account-linked cloud backups hosted by Supabase. We do not sell your data.

Information You Create in the App
Pretty Strong lets you create and save your workouts and notes, exercises, sets, reps, weights, personal records, plans, templates, streaks, recap records, body measurements, nutrition logs and targets, and profile and training preferences (including your name, birth date if entered, height, body weight, goals, experience, equipment, movement limitations, and schedule).
This information is created by you for your own use.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for keeping your own backups of important records. Do not use the app as your only copy of information that matters to you.
Local Storage
Pretty Strong is designed to store your app data on your device unless a feature clearly states otherwise.
Optional Accounts and Sign in with Apple
You can continue without an account for local use. If you choose Sign in with Apple, Apple authenticates you and provides an identifier and, when authorized and available, your name and email address. If you choose Hide My Email, the address may be an Apple private relay address. We do not receive your Apple password. Supabase handles the app account and authentication session. We use this information to recognize your account and provide access to your backup. See Apple's Sign in with Apple information.
Account Backups Hosted by Supabase
When you are signed in, the app can automatically upload a copy of your training data to Supabase, linked to your account identifier. The backup includes the information listed under Information You Create in the App: your profile and preferences, plans and custom exercises, workout history and notes, sets, records, body measurements, nutrition logs and targets, and recap records. Backup records also include a revision and update timestamp. Photos and your Apple password are not included in this training backup.
We use this data to save and restore your training information. An available backup can be restored when you sign in to the same account on an installation without local training data. Account settings show backup status and provide a retry control. Backups require an internet connection and may be delayed or paused if the local data and account backup conflict.
Supabase is our service provider for account authentication and backup storage, processing this information on our behalf. This account backup is separate from Apple's iCloud or device backups. See Supabase's privacy notice and data processing addendum.
Optional Account Emails
Your online profile stores your display name, email preference, and the time that preference changes. If you opt in, we may send occasional founder emails about feedback and app updates. This choice is optional and can be turned off in Account settings.
If your device is configured to back up app data through Apple services such as iCloud or device backups, Apple may process that backup data according to your Apple settings and Apple's privacy policies.
Fitness Information and Health Disclaimer
Pretty Strong lets you record fitness-related information such as workouts, exercises, weights, repetitions, personal records, and training preferences. This information is used to power the app's features for you. When signed in, fitness information is also included in your account backup as described above.
Pretty Strong does not connect to Apple Health / HealthKit and does not read or write your Apple Health data unless a feature clearly states otherwise.
Pretty Strong is a fitness tracking and organization tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical, physical therapy, nutritional, or personalized coaching advice. Exercise carries inherent risks. Consult a qualified professional before starting or changing any exercise program, and stop and seek care if you feel pain, dizziness, or discomfort.
Photos and Camera Access
If you choose to add or take a photo inside the app, the app may request access to your camera or photo library. The app uses this access only to let you attach or save the photo you selected. We do not use your photos for advertising.
Sharing to Other Apps
Pretty Strong can create shareable images or cards from your activity. These are generated on your device, and nothing is shared until you choose to share it. When you share to another app or service (for example a social or messaging app), that content is handled by the destination app under its own terms and privacy policy.
Notifications
If you turn on reminders, Pretty Strong schedules local notifications on your device. These reminders are generated on your device and are not sent through our servers. You can turn them off at any time in the app or in iOS Settings.
Purchases and Subscriptions
If Pretty Strong offers paid features, trials, or subscriptions, purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store.
Measurement and advertising
Pretty Strong works with three third-party services to measure how people discover and use the app:
RevenueCatmanages subscription state and provides a stable customer identity across devices. RevenueCat receives your account identifier, your subscription events, and a small set of non-sensitive profile signals (install cohort, first-seen timestamp, app version, device-vendor identifier, first name if you provide one, and your onboarding preferences: primary goal, experience level, training location, and preferred days per week). RevenueCat's own privacy notice is available at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.
TikTok Business App Events SDK measures which ads on TikTok lead to app installs, trial starts, and subscriptions. When you tap Continue on the tracking-permission screen and grant Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, TikTok also receives your device's Advertising Identifier so we can attribute the install to a specific TikTok ad. Product interaction events (onboarding started, onboarding completed, plan created, paywall viewed, trial started, subscription purchased, workout completed) are sent to TikTok so advertising campaigns can be optimized. No workout details, body metrics, goals, injuries, or content produced inside the app is ever shared with TikTok. If you deny Apple's tracking prompt, TikTok will still measure your install using Apple's privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork framework — no personal identifier is shared. TikTok's data collection policy is described at https://ads.tiktok.com/i18n/official/policy/business-products-terms.
Meta (Facebook) App Events SDK measures which ads on Facebook and Instagram lead to app installs and subscriptions. The same events listed above (onboarding started/completed, plan created, paywall viewed, workout completed) are sent to Meta. In-app purchases are logged automatically by the SDK for ad optimization. No workout details, body metrics, goals, injuries, or content produced inside the app is ever shared with Meta. Training content, including workouts, sets, personal records, body measurements, and nutrition logs, is stored locally and included in your Supabase account backup when signed in. This backup is separate from advertising measurement; we do not send the training backup to RevenueCat, TikTok, or Meta.
Your choices.
You can decline Apple's tracking prompt without losing any Pretty Strong feature. The app works exactly the same either way; only the accuracy of our ad measurement changes.
You can revoke tracking permission any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → Pretty Strong.
You can request deletion of the account identifier we send to RevenueCat by contacting battisebuilt@protonmail.com. Account or data deletion does not cancel an Apple subscription. Manage subscriptions separately through your Apple settings.
Analytics and Crash Diagnostics
Pretty Strong does not currently use separate third-party product analytics or crash reporting tools beyond the measurement and advertising partners described above.
Support Emails
If you contact support, we may receive your email address and any information you choose to include in your message. We use support messages only to respond to you and improve the app.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share limited information with service providers only when needed to operate the app, process purchases, provide support, or comply with legal obligations.
Security
We use reasonable measures designed to protect information handled by the app and our support process. However, no app, device, storage method, backup service, or transmission method is completely secure.
Data Deletion
Use Delete account in the app's Account settings to delete your online account, profile, training backup, and email preference. Signing out or deleting the app does not delete that online data. Account deletion keeps the workouts stored on your current device and does not cancel your App Store subscription. You can separately revoke Sign in with Apple authorization in your Apple account settings. Revoking authorization alone is not an account deletion request to Battise. Contact us if you need help accessing or deleting your account information.
You can delete app data by deleting records inside the app where supported or by deleting the app from your device.
If you contact support, you may request deletion of support-related emails or personal information you previously sent to us.
Children's Privacy
Pretty Strong is not directed to children under 13 and is not intended for use by them.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above.
